AmigaOS 3.1 Command Reference

FAULT

Format:
FAULT {error number}

Template:
/N/M

Purpose:
To print the messages(s) for the specified error code(s).

Path:
Internal

Specification:

FAULT prints the messages corresponding to the error numbers supplied. Any
number of error numbers can be specified at once. If several error numbers
are given with FAULT, they must be separated by spaces.

Example:

If you received the error message:

Error when opening DF1:TestFile 205

And needed more information, you would enter:

1> FAULT 205
FAULT 205: object not found

This tells you that the error occurred because TestFile could not be
found on DF1:.

A complete list of error messages appears in Appendix A.
