Format:
PRINTER [FROM <filename>] [EDIT] [USE] [SAVE]
[PUBSCREEN <public screen name>) [UNIT <unit>]

Template:
FROM, EDIT/S, USE/S, SAVE/S, PUBSCREEN/K, UNIT/S

Purpose:
To specify a printer and print options.

Path:
Extras:Prefs/Printer

Specification:

PRINTER without any arguments or with the EDIT argument opens the Printer
editor. The FROM argument lets you specify a file to open. This must be a
file that was previously saved with the Save As menu item of the Printer
editor.

For example, if you have saved a special configuration of the Printer editor
to a file in the Presets drawer, you can use the FROM argument to open that
file. If the USE switch is also given, the editor will not be opened, but
the settings in the FROM flle will be used. If the SAVE switch is given, the
editor will not open, but the settings in the FROM file will be saved.

PRINTER UNIT opens the Printer editor with a Device Unit gadget added to the
editor. Select the unit to which output should be sent. If PRINTER UNIT
<unit> is specified, output will be sent to the specifed <unit>. This option
is primarily available for use with old application programs.

Example:

1> PRINTER Prefs/Presets/Printer.epson SAVE

Loads and saves the specifcations saved in the Printer.epson file.
